T.J. is passionate about supporting young adults to create and achieve meaningful, fulfilling goals. He earned his Bachelor's in Behavioral Neuroscience from Quinnipiac University and his Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Fairfield University.

 

T.J. is an expert at working with college aged individuals.  T.J. has worked as both an academic coach and as a mental health counselor at Sacred Heart University's counseling center.   In addition to being Valiance's senior most clinician, T.J.  is enrolled at Yale's Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program.  T.J.  blends his personal experiences of growing up playing a variety of sports including soccer, lacrosse, and semi-professional paintball, as well as his current experiences as a professional musician, into his clinical work.  His approach to counseling is relaxed, humorous, goal-oriented, conversational, empowering, and most importantly--effective.

 

T.J. believes that relationship-building is at the core of the work he does and is humbled at every opportunity he has to create meaningful connections with those he works with.
